Zipping through the minds of those in the Online Think Tank is generally the thought of the day. And recently the subject was the unfortunate exploitation of others in human species. It is inevitable, commonplace and so typical around the globe. One Online Think Tanker from the University of Colorado stated the Obvious to kick off the conversation with a famous quote;

The relatively intelligent, healthy, and informed will always exploit the relatively unintelligent, unhealthy, and uninformed.

Indeed. Machiavelli predicts it, but then again so do Chimpanzee Troops, as per Jane Goodall. Yet perhaps we can get past the linear thinking of such enslavement and take human societies and civilizations to a higher level of understanding, so that things are fair for all concerned. In fact perhaps we can do this whether or not they have chosen to surrender their brains to the TV set or whether or not they have turned off their minds or not.

First exploitation is silly in a Western Society with all the potential Win/Win possibilities available. We should expand the pie and let everyone eat at the table. John Nash I believe said it best. Of course that does not mean a free ride, as someone has to plant, grow, harvest and bake the bread and no one in a modern human civilization wishes to wait in bread lines anymore.

Second, folks need to take responsibility for their own actions, as well as responsibility for their children as well. And third, we should attempt to inform folks and educate them, as to allow them the ability to cognitively make good choices and once they do expect them to live by them. I hope this article propels thought and allows you to be the best you can be in everything you do in 2007.
