TNA Turning Point 2007 will take place on Sunday, December 2nd live from the Impact! Zone in Orlando Florida.
For those that can remember, in last years TNA Turning Point pay per view, the main event saw an epic battle between Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle. The fans favourite Samoa Joe was victorious in the match, forcing Kurt Angle to submit after locking him in the deadly Coquina Clutch.
During the main event at last month's Genesis PPV, Styles and Tomko aligned themselves with Kurt Angle. Even though Kevin Nash and Kurt Angle were tag team partners, although they were on the same team, they were certainly not friends. At TNA Turning Point, they will get the opportunity to face each other.
In the main event of the evening, we will see a six man tag team war. The first team will be Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, who had great success together in the WWF and of course in WCW as "The Outsiders", teaming up with Samoa Joe.
Their opponents are known as "The Angle Alliance" consisting of Kurt Angle, AJ Styles and Tomko.
Until recently AJ Styles and Tomko had been aligned with Christian Cage, but following his defeat to Kaz in a ladder match, they have been discarded by the man who refers to himself as "the instant classic" and have now alligned them selves with Kurt Angle.
Many fans are looking forward to seeing the in ring return of Scott Hall who is believed to be looking for one last run in the wrestling spotlight.
Team 3D have been on a quest to destroy the X Division. They recruited Johnny Devine to destroy the division from within and have stolen the X Division title from
Black Machismo.
In a six man tag team tables match, the legendary Team 3D (formerly known as The Dudley Boys) and Johnny Devine will take on the elite of the X Division, The Motor City Machine Guns, who recorded a victory over Team 3D at TNA Genesis and current X Division Champion
Black Machismo Jay Lethal.
Over the past few months
Black Reign has been feuding with "The Monster" Abyss with Rhino getting involved in the mix. The introduction of Rellik has added some extra spice to the proceedings with brings us to the next match.
In a match of 10,000 tacks the team of Abyss and Rhino will face the
Black Reign and the new comer Rellik. This tag team match promises to be brutal! Abyss and Rhino are no strangers to extreme matches, nor is
Black Reign who has carved out a long and successful career that is spanning to over 20 years as a professional wrestler. Little is known about Rellik at this stage, but he has already shown that he can cause some damage.
It has not yet been announced how the tacks will be introduced into the match, but the name suggests there will be plenty of them!
In a match with the TNA Women's Championship on the line, the current Champion Gail Kim will face the frightful Awesome Kong. Gail Kim became the first TNA Women's Champion two months ago in a battle royal, since then Awesome Kong has dominated the Women's division and even has a pin fall victory over Gail Kim prior to her winning the title. Awesome Kong has the strength, size and power advantage and is odds on favourite to take the belt from the lovely Gail Kim. Awesome Kong has won many titles throughout Japan, could she add another one to her list?
There is also the widely anticipated "feast or fired" match. In this match there will be 15 superstars (who are yet to be announced) competing in one ring. There will be 4 briefcases in the corners containing items, one will have a guaranteed match at The TNA World Heavyweight Championship, one will have a match against the X Division Championship and one will have a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championship. That just leaves one more briefcase, in that one will be a pink slip, meaning that the superstar who collects it will be fired!
Who will compete in the match? So far the likes of Christian Cage, Kaz and new comer Booker T are yet to be booked in a match, so they could be three of the 15 competitors. Could Booker T win a shot at the TNA Heavyweight Championship so soon after joining the company? Could Jeff Jarrett return to in ring competition?
The wrestling world awaits what could be a great pay per view event to end 2007.
