Tomato Soup

 Wash and cut the tomatoes and beetroot

             Cut the onions and garlic into small pieces.

 Tomato Soup

   Servings: 10 people

    Cooking Time: 15 minutes

 

Ingredients: 
           
1   Kg Tomatoes

                        1   Small Beetroot

2   Onions

8   Cloves Garlic

2   Table Spoons Butter

3   Table Spoons Sugar

1    Teaspoon Aniseed
            2    Teaspoon Ghee

1    Slice Bread

      Salt And Black Pepper To Taste Bread Croutons

 

Method    :

 

·        Wash and cut the tomatoes and beetroot

·        Cut the onions and garlic into small pieces.

·        Fry the onion and garlic till golden brown; pour 5 cups of water in it and boil

·        Add tomatoes, beetroot and bread piece. Switch of the gas after 3 whistles. On cooling, churn with a beater and strain.

·        Add water to get the right consistency for the soup.

·        Add sugar, salt, black pepper and boil.

·        Heat ghee and add aniseed. Switch of the gas when the seeds turn brown, and add it to the soup.

·         Serve hot with the few bread croutons floating in each bowl.
