Semolina Halwa

Ingredient:
1 Cup Semolina
1 Teaspoon Gram Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
2 Cups Milk
¼ Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
2 Tablespoons Chopped Pistachios
4 Tablespoons Ghee
1 Pinch Saffron Strands (Dissolved)
Method :
- Heat ghee in a kadai, add semolina and cook on a low flame.
- Cook till it turns light brown and then add gram flour and cook for 5 minutes more.
- On the other burner, combine water, milk, sugar, saffron and boil it. Then pour it over the semolina.
- Stir till the mixture leaves the sides of the vessel and little ghee separates. Add cardamom powder and mix well. Switch off the gas.
- Transfer into a serving dish, garnish with pistachios and serve hot.
