Outside Of The Box Methods Of Landing Graduate Jobs

After spending three years and even more in higher education many are eager to gain one of the many Graduate Jobs available. Due to the amount of graduates applying though the competition is tough and it may take you a while before you are successful with your application.
Applying for jobs is unlikely to be on anybodies list of favourite things to do. But lets face it. we all need to do it at one point in our lives. To some people, applying for jobs is an exciting time, especially for those who have left University. After spending three years and even more in higher education many are eager to gain one of the many Graduate Jobs available. Due to the amount of graduates applying though the competition is tough and it may take you a while before you are successful with your application.
If you are struggling though, there are methods of job seeking which are a lot more “outside of the box” than the standard methods of searching and waiting and then hoping! Here are two methods or situations which might lead you to getting the graduate job that you desire.

The first variation on a method that you are probably already using is to make the most from jobs websites. If you have been looking for a job there is no doubt that you already have a number of jobs websites bookmarked and which you check on a regular basis. But if you check these websites, have you taken the time to register your details? In most cases the answer is likely to be no, which will mean you are missing out of the many benefits that a lot of websites offer somebody who is looking for work.
Register your details and upload a copy of your latest CV. You also then need to complete any sections which allow you to build a profile of yourself. There is a reason for doing this and that is because any employers with look on a website to try and find candidates. If you upload your CV and provide information about yourself, you are allowing yourself to be found!

The second method is aimed at you making the most of the social networking websites that you are likely to already be registered on. At the moment in time, the most popular website of this kind is facebook. If you haven't already done so register your details and build an on-line profile of yourself, including your work information. Now look for groups relating to employment, you may even find groups created by employers with the intention to find candidates. Try and keep your profile professional though, you want to make the right impression if a potential employer visits your profile after all!
