“It can’t be a coincidence that I’m doing two literary adaptations back to back, first Shakespeare in Omkara and now Ismat Chugtai’s story ‘Lajjo’. I know Urdu is very different from Shakespeare, but literature is literature. I’m glad I’ve arrived at this new phase in my career so effortlessly,” added an excited Kareena Kapoor. It may be mentioned that ‘Lajjo’ is a film based on esteemed Urdu writer Ismat Choghtai’s short story.

Kareena appeared very enthusiastic about acting with Aamir Khan and all she had to say was “I remember how excited I was when I had signed ‘Ashoka’ with Shah Rukh. Now it’s Aamir in ‘Lajjo’. It’s every actress’ dream to work with Aamir. I’m a huge fan of his. When I saw ‘Rang De Basanti’ I was jealous because I wanted to be part of it.”

A photo session was held for both Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor and after a photo session the cast of the movie ‘Lajjo’ was announced. Besides this, Kareena Kapoor will be seen in a cameo role in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don’.
