Make lemon size balls of the khoya and flatten with your palm. put a little prepared mixture over it and make a dot with saffron. Fold the roti in a semi circle and seal the open sides neatly.

Ingredient: 
   
  500   Grams khoya
     400   Grams sugar
       10    Cardamoms (powdered) 
         2    Tablespoons  almond –pistachio  
                ( chopped )
         1    Tablespoon mishri
         1     Pinch saffron strands(melted)
                 
                       
                             
 

Method :
  • Mix khoya,200gms sugar and cook on the gas for 10 minutes.
  • Prepare a mixture of mishri, almond, pistachio and cardamom powder.
  • Make lemon size balls of the khoya and flatten with your palm. put a little prepared mixture over it and make a dot with saffron. Fold the roti in a semi circle and seal the open sides neatly.
  • Let this dry for 1 hour. The gunja’s are ready .
  • Keep 2 tablespoons of the remaining sugar aside, and mix the rest in 1 cup water. Heat this and prepare a syrup of ½ thread consistency.
  • Apply a little sugar syrup on each gunja with the help of a spoon.
  • Sprinkle the remaining sugar son each gunja and on drying, store in an airtight container.
