Gulab jamun

Ingredient:
½ Kg khoya
750 Grams sugar
50 Grams arrowroot powder
2 Small cardamoms
1 Saffron strands (melted)
25 Pistachioss
Ghee to fry
Method :
- Knead the khoya and add arrowroot in it so that there are no lamps.
- Mix cardamom with saffron (do not mix it with the khoya).
- Mix sugar in 2 cups water and prepare a syrup of ½ thread consistency.
- Divine the khoya in to 25 parts and make balls of it.
- Flatten each ball and put saffron, cardamom powder and a pistachio.
- Make it into a ball shape again. Fry them on a low flame till dark brown and keep transfering it in the sugar syrup.
- Gulab jamun are ready after an hour. serve them hot or cold as desired.
