Bottle Gourd Kalakand

Ingredient:
2 Liters milk
1 Kg bottle gourd
1 Cup sugar
1 Tablespoon rose water s
Method :
- Peel the guard and grate it. Squeeze out the excess water.
- Boil milk in a kadai. When the milk is reduced to half, add the gourd in it and stir continuously.
- After 15 minutes, add sugar and rose water.
- Grease a plate and pour the prepared mixture in it .spread evenly.
- The kalakand will set properly on cooling.
- Spread varak. Cut into square pieces and serve.
Note: one can also prepare coconut kalakand in the same way .
grate the white part of the coconut and use instead of bottle gourd.
