Sponge Cake

Take a 6 inch (in height) greased mould, sprinkle a little flour and then pour the prepared batter in it.

Sponge Cake
Servings : 6 people
Cooking  Time : 45 minutes
 
 
Ingredients:  
    ½   Tin condensed
140   Grams self raising flour                     
     1   Teaspoon baking powder 
    ½   Teaspoon sweet soda                  
     2   Teaspoons vanilla essence
   40   Grams butter
 200   Ml. thums   up/coke
      1   Tablespoon sugar
      1   Teaspoon flour 

           Method :
 
  • Mix self raising flour, baking powder and soda and sieve them together.
  • Mix this in condensed milk along with butter, thums  up and vanilla essence and prepare a smooth batter.
  • Take a 6 inch (in height) greased mould, sprinkle a little flour and then pour the prepared batter in it.
  • Bake it in a preheated oven for 10 minutes at 350ºC.
  • Now reduce the temperature to 175ºC and bake further for 10 minutes. Switch off the oven.
  • Remove the mould from oven after 5 minutes. On cooling invert the mould on a plate to remove the cake.
  • Mix sugar in ½ cup water and sprinkle this on the cake.
         Note : serve it plain with vanilla ice cream or after icing the cake.
